Privacy Policy


Your right to privacy while using the World Wide Web is very important to Village of the Blue Rose, LLC ("Village of the Blue Rose "). Village of the Blue Rose is committed to helping you maintain control over your personal data while fostering the growth of a more interactive, engaging, and personalized web experience. We respect your right to control how much information you provide about yourself. When you are making a donation, purchasing a product, expressing an interest in referring an individual or provider for one of our programs, or subscribing to our online newsletter, we ask you for personal contact information such as your name, mailing address, phone number and e-mail address. We may use this contact information to provide you with a receipt; to contact you to clarify or obtain information about an order you placed, a donation you made, or individual or provider you have referred; or to send you additional information about Village of the Blue Rose. Village of the Blue Rose provides an opportunity allowing you the option to opt-out on all Village of the Blue Rose and affiliated Web sites. The following Privacy Policy (”Policy”) describes how we collect, protect and use information we receive from visitors to Village of the Blue Rose and affiliates web sites, including Village of the Blue, (the “Site”). By using the Site, you agree to the terms of this Policy. This Privacy Policy applies only to information collected through our Site and not to information collected offline.


1. What Personally Identifiable Information Is Collected


We do not collect personally identifiable information on our Sites unless you voluntarily provide information about yourself via an electronic mail message or by filling out one of our online forms. By “personally identifiable information,” we mean data that is unique to an individual, such as a name, address or telephone number. For example, if you send us an email or call us, we may use the information you provide to follow up via telephone or email. The information you provide will be kept confidential and will be used only to support your continued relationship with Village of the Blue Rose.


We may conduct contests, sweepstakes and surveys through our Sites. We request contact information from you in connection with your participation for the purpose of conducting the promotion. Any personal information collected may be used by us or the sponsors of the contest, and may be associated with registration information.


No software or hardware techniques are employed to capture a visitor’s email address or other personally identifiable information. Village of the Blue Rose does not monitor individual traffic patterns on our Sites, and we do not use invisible images to track how you use our Sites. Our hosting company may collect anonymous, aggregate information or statistics related to Site usage. These statistics indicate the total number of hits, the total number of page hits, the number of kilobytes transferred from our Sites, and the IP address of the visitor. If we decide to use this information to analyze Web traffic in the future, we will only be able to measure the number of visitors to our Sites and the addresses of the web sites from which our visitors come. Email addresses and other personally identifiable information are not available to us unless you affirmatively supply such information.


2. How the Information You Provide Is Used


Should you send us your comments or questions via email to any email address provided on one of our Sites, we will only share your communications with our employees or agents most capable of addressing your questions and concerns. We will retain your communication until we have done our very best to provide you with a complete and satisfactory response and then we will either discard it or, in some cases, archive it. We share your personal information with our agents, representatives, contractors and service providers so they can provide us with support services such as authorization of credit card transactions, order processing and sweepstakes fulfillment. From time to time, our advertising and promotional partners may desire to use information collected through our Sites to call your attention to promotions and offers they believe might interest you. If you prefer not to receive direct communications sent by our advertisers or promotional partners, you will be given an opportunity to decline before you provide us any information we might use for this purpose. 3. Security of Information Sent to Us


Please note that, unless we expressly advise you otherwise, the e-mail functionality on our Sites does not provide a means for completely secure and private communications between us. Like all unencrypted Internet email communications, your email may be accessed and viewed by other Internet users, without your knowledge and permission, while in transit to us. For that reason, to protect your privacy, please do not use email to communicate information to us that you consider to be confidential. While we strive to protect your personal information, Village of the Blue Rose cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us, and you do so at your own risk. Once we receive your transmission, we will use our commercially reasonable efforts to ensure its security on our internal systems. Depending on the nature of the inquiry, your communication may be discarded or archived.


4. Security of Financial Transactions


In addition to personal contact information, we sometimes ask for billing information, such as your billing address and credit card number when you make a donation, purchase a product, enter a sweepstakes, or participate in a fundraiser. All financial transactions on our Sites use an encrypted channel, take place on secure servers, and occur in real time. We use secure servers to gather and process your billing information. Your billing information is not shared with any other organizations, and your credit card number is not retained once your transaction has been authorized and processed. 5. Disclosure of Customer Information through Transfers and Requests


As we continue to develop, we may buy, merge or partner with other companies or businesses, and in so doing, acquire customer information. In such transactions, user information may be among the transferred assets. Similarly, in the unlikely event that a portion or substantially all of Village of the Blue Rose assets are transferred to a third party, the information you have voluntarily provided to us, including your email address, would likely be one of the transferred assets. In some instances, we ask for contact information for people other than yourself including, for example, email addresses of friends to whom you believe may have an interest in Village of the Blue Rose or any of its activities, or the mailing address of someone you wish us to notify of a donation you have made. The information we collect is used to send the donation notification or information you requested and/or to inform the recipient of Village of the Blue Rose updates, program information, and opportunities to get involved. Such contact information is not shared with any other organizations.


6. Our Commitment to Veteran's Privacy


We recognize the importance of protecting the privacy of veterans. Village of the Blue Rose only collects personally identifiable contact information from veterans who are referred or referring themselves as potential program recipients, however we do not share it in any other way or with any other parties. We do not give the ability to publicly post or otherwise distribute personally identifiable contact information in any way. Sites that support Village of the Blue Rose programs, are directed to adults at least eighteen (18) years old, and when a user discloses personal information through one of our Sites, the user is representing to us that he or she is an adult. If a child has provided us with personal information, that a parent or guardian wishes to be removed, email us at, and we will promptly delete the child’s information from our records.


7. Privacy Policies of Web Sites Not Under Our Control


For your convenience, our Sites may provide links to various web sites that we do not control. When you click on one of these links, you will be transferred out of our Sites and connected to the web site of the organization or company that you selected. 11. Sites


Our Sites (excluding linked sites) are controlled by Village of the Blue Rose which is headquartered in the State of Missouri, United States of America. Sites can be accessed from all 50 States as well as United States Territories and other countries around the world. As each of these places has laws that may differ from those of Missouri, by accessing the Sites both you and Village of the Blue Rose agree that the statutes and laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to conflicts of law principles thereof, will apply to all matters arising from or relating to use of these Sites. Best efforts will be used to resolve any and all claims and disputes arising under use of the Sites through good faith negotiations and without initially resorting to litigation, arbitration or other similar proceedings. If the parties to a dispute hereunder are unable to resolve such claim or dispute via good faith negotiations, the parties will agree, prior to commencement of any legal action or suit, to submit to at least one day of non-binding mediation in St. Charles, Missouri with a mediator chosen jointly and paid for equally by the parties. Any legal action, suit, or proceeding with respect to the use of the Sites will be brought exclusively in federal court in St. Louis, Missouri and each party consents to the jurisdiction of said court for all matters that arise under said use of Sites. All costs for legal representation in suits in which Village of the Blue Rose is named as defendant shall be paid by each respective party regardless of the outcome of the suit. Except where prohibited, any and all legal action, suit or proceeding with respect to the use of the Sites will be resolved individually, without respect to any form of class action. Village of the Blue Rose makes no representation that materials on the Sites are appropriate or available for use in other locations, and accessing them from territories where their contents are illegal is prohibited. Those who choose to access the Sites from other locations do so of their own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws


12. Do we use "cookies"?


Yes.
